charlie1985
We own a property with tenants who are moving out at in two months. The problem that we have is that we are currently renting in another area and we have been informed that we are going to have to leave in one month, making us homeless. Is there anyway we can evict the tenants faster so that we can move back in?
kerbut
If you are renting yourself ,your landlord is required to give you 2 months notice.
Mortitia
Charlie -there is no way to end a tenancy 'quickly' unless the tenants agree to end their tenancy. You could try offering cash but make sure you put everything in writing. Mortitia
Melboy
Yup! 2 months notice by law so your landlord needs to be informed of this.
Richlist
No. NNotice needs to be 2 months....ENDING ON A RENT DAY.......which in practice often means more than 2 months notice.
Grampa
Unless the 2 months starts in the fixed period but ends outside. Then it doesnt matter.
snorkerz
Agree with the others - the problem here isn't your tenants, it is your landlord. Why do you feel you have to be out in a months time?
