  1. I read the following on legislation.gov.uk From 1 October 2022, the Government is amending The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Regulations to require rental properties to install a carbon monoxide alarm in every room with a fixed combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers).
  2. Just been reading about more new regulations I have 2 smoke alarms 1 on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor landing ceiling in front of the bed rooms 1 of the bedrooms has the gas boiler do I now need to install a seperate smoke alarm just for that bedroom.
  3. "A new ground will be introduced for landlords who wish to sell their property and allow landlords and their family members to move into a rental property." Can anyone tell me what this new "ground" will be? or are the politicians keeping it a secret until the last minute, or maybe they haven't and won't decide until the very last minute, or even after it becomes law. I can't find any details so I'm unable to make any plans regarding my property
  4. Not long but there is also a natural rent cap, if rents go too high people just won't be able to rent, governments should keep out and allow business to find its own level

  11. I had buyer's interested in one of my properties they had no interest in the ECP rating which has got me thinking if people are interested in buying to live in they have no worries about the EPC's unless they are BTL buyers

  16. London commuter towns are being targeted by property developer Strawberry Star Group to establish its new £1 billion build-to-rent (BTR) empire. It has announced plans for a 163-apartment block in Harlow (pictured) due to start construction this year under its Star Living brand.
