Carryon Regardless
A 16 year old having taken his A levels is, apart from pulling the head off his parrot, idle till September. I can see how we could both benefit from him assisting me, the trouble with my portfolio much of the day is spent on the road. Long gone are the days when I can pay £2ph, in fact so long gone I don't have a clue what would be a reasonable payment to the lad. I can see the intelligence in making sure I'm covered in case he spills hot tea on his delicate hands but aside from that it's to be totally ad hoc, casual, no commitment. So how much ? Thoughts appreciated.

Melboy
Minimum wage also from me. Plenty of Kids out there who are willing to earn some money. I worked from the age of 14 part-time and it taught me one thing, the value of money that is earnt rather than just given to you..... not that I had anyone who could give me any money. Mortitia
Agree with minimum wage. Currently an experienced labourer (if you get my meaning) gets between £60-£70 a day in my area.
Carryon Regardless
Having looked at the minimum wage for a 16 year old I can go along with that, and he seems happy at the idea. Thanks.
