manchester_paul
Can anyone please advise whether a letting agent who has not successfully let out a property within the term of the contract (18 months) is legally allowed to charge me the same fee as ending/breaking the contract? In the 18 months of the contract the agent failed to undertake a marketing review, in fact other than put the property in their shop window and paste a couple of pictures on some websites they did nothing to rent the property out. the only contact I had from them was a bill once the term had ended. Any advice would be appreciated!
Grampa
Depends on the T&C's you signed with the company. There could also be an issue of "unfair term" but that would be for a judge to decide.

Richlist
This post has got to be a windup ! Nobody would be stupid enough to allow an agent to spend 18 months failing to find them a suitable tenant.
