carolinef.morris
Dear all Just a query. My tennant has broken several windows at my property. Who is liable for the repairs to them? Many thanks!
Trenners
The tenant is liable for any damage to your property caused by either them OR people that your tenant has invited onto your premises. Ask the tenant to fix the windows immediately - by ordering them to repair the windows in writing - and tell them that if the windows are not repaired within 30 days then you will authorise repairs on their behalf and deduct the cost from their security deposit.
