Nessab
Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to letting a property although not new to the lettings or property Market. We have recently let a 5 bedroom house through a local reputable letting agent. The let was to a relocation agent looking to accommodate a corporate client. We jumped through hoops to adhere to the 1 month move in time. And quiet frankly the house was in extremely good condition when we handed over the keys to the agent. The tenancy agreement was due to start the following day. Now 5 days later we still have not been paid. The letting agent told me 3 weeks ago that all money had been paid to her. Is this normal practice or is she delaying paying us?
Melboy
5 days is not unusual but 3 weeks ? I would expect my rent money to be in my account certainly within 7 days and if not.. why not?
Grampa
Some agents have payment runs on certain days. If they do it should have been disclosed in their T & C'S you have signed with them.
