tony009
Hi All, Question: Do landlords have to join a Tenancy Deposit Sceme (TDS) if they started had their agreements signed (and deposits paid) BEFORE the October 2006 deadline? OR does it apply regardless? Cheers. T.
Melboy
As I understand the new ruling, it is applicable to all new contracts after October 2006.

F-Prop
Yes that's right, only if the tenancy starts on or after the 1st October do you have to join a scheme otherwise you can keep it yourself. So expect a rush of landlords trying to sign tenants up towards the end of September!! Trevor.

mad_maz
Hi The TDS has been postponed by the government until 6th April 2007 and I believe that further information can be found on the website of the National Landlords Association.
