The tax rules change on April 6th so that you will no longer be able to claim the cost of renewals eg cooker, fridge, washing machine, vac cleaner, carpets, curtains etc etc etc. So, if you think you may need to renew/ replace something .........NOW might be a good time to do it. kerbut Posted March 7, 2013 Report Share Posted March 7, 2013 And also we had a flyer today from the local council landlords association , as from 1 April in our area the council are going to charge one and a half times for rates on empty properties , when I phone in future to say a tenant has left I will tell them I am moving in until a new tenant is found.
