Richlist
As from next April, the costs for replacing free standing items such as cookers in unfurnished (or part furnished) property will not be able to be claimed as an expense against income tax. However, built in cookers etc, for tax purposes, form part of the building and can be claimed, So, if like me, you are planning new kitchens then the small additional cost of having built in appliances makes perfect sense.
