Grampa Posted May 2 Report Share Posted May 2 Unless you are an experienced landlord with a good understanding of housing law and all the relevant documents that have to be provided to the tenant throughout the tenancy then its a must to use an agent, Do it incorrectly you could find yourself with a criminal record, a tenant you cant evict, and a fine. Richlist Posted May 3 Report Share Posted May 3 If you take rent guarantee insurance then the insurers will carry out the necessary checks to ensure the tenant meets their criteria.
