mahendra4140 Posted June 10, 2006 Report Share Posted June 10, 2006 Hi Ihave tenants who have changed locks and then abandoned the property also they are 3 months in arrears on looking through the window i noticed there were furniture which look like rubbish dumped in the house is it possible to put 14 days notice on the door and then repossess the property if no contact from tenants. Melboy Posted June 11, 2006 Report Share Posted June 11, 2006 Short answer is yes. If you are sure the property has been abandoned then you have the right to enter. I presume you had a written contract with your Tenants? Most contracts will state this fact and also that the locks must never be changed without permission from the Landlord.
