How to renew an AST

Hi guys, the first AST I did is now coming to an end and I was wondering how you go about reissuing another with a fix term again instead of just going into a periodic one?

If you have a formal AST with copyright you will need to purchase another one and then complete the details/ blank spaces appropriately.

Assuming there is no agreed rent increase..... only the dates will change.

So, complete AST and get tenant(s) to sign & date then landlord(s) sign & date.....good idea to do it all at the same and use the same witness.

Make sure any guarantor forms will still cover the new tenancy and consider taking/ renewing any rent guarantee insurance.

Only you can make that decision......its your property and only you know what you are prepared to accept.

I'm not familiar with either AST. Standard AST's generally have a lot of important optional clauses missing, I prefer to ensure they are included.
