Paulhar
Hi All, I have just agreed to let a house to a friend who couldn't care less how energy efficient the place is. If he doesn't want an Energy Performance Cert do I really need to get one ? Also, if it turns out that I do need one how much should I be spending on it ? Cheers Paul
Trenners
Paul, Yes - you need an EPC because it is the LAW. You also need a gas safety certificate (even if your friend doesn't want one). An EPC should cost you anything from £50 to £75+VAT ......... Good Luck, Mark
