CH1
I thought B. of E (sounds a bit like C. of E.!) would reduce interest rates before Christmase .... http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/publication...ws/2007/156.htm interesting just when I'm completing on a Fixed rate mortgage tomorrow..I'm sure better deals will prevail in the new year to get the market moving. Melboy
I wouldn't get too excited. The BoE has no remit over the housing market whatsoever..... their remit is the controlling of inflation by adjusting IR accordingly. If they even see a small rise in the inflation figures they will not reduce the rates any further than it is absolutely necessary. Mel.
simhar
You say that BUT............there were 2 rate hikes mid-2004 aimed at cooling the housing market ! so pre-that decision I would have agreed with you ! cheers simhar
