Matthew
I went to bed the other night a topic expert and now I find myself an Advanced member, have I been stripped of all my knowledge and power. I am very worried to say the least! This historic thread is now my 100th and I could now be a senior member, I find this prospect very exciting and would like forum members to dance a jig in my honour on such a historic day! Simon Dewsberry
Last night to be precise- Hopefully resident will post some info on this - but I think it is a positive step as the number of posts we make does not make us experts just "loudmouths " !! well for me that may be true! Also newbies may think they were getting cast iron advice from the "gospel" which they crtainly are not - I hope we will see a few tweaks in the rating system very soon to address this problem! Resident ...............??! Simon
plym77
Melboy and Trenners have the privilege of being 'super senior members'!! I have to say I agree. Topic Experts should not be given by a number of posts, but by actually being an expert! Still.... these are only words and this is an open forum with open opinions. Newbies will benefit from opinions of various users and so can form their own conclusions from that Regards Sherena Former 'Topic Expert' Actual 'Tax Expert' !!! Simon Dewsberry
Hi Plym I think it should be mandatory for each person to fill in "their card" area -no of props- time as LL/LA- area of specialist knowledge etc..... Also former topic expert out of the box unconventional cynical sounding board ! Simon He he Would you believe it - that last post just made me a Super Senior Member ! After you have finished doing the jig for Mat please do one for me as well ! Simon

resident
Hi members, senior members, and those who are really senior but have forgotten. Thanks for all your comments on this. We want to give everybody as much credit and as much information about other members as possible. But there are problems - the constrants of the forum, the law (data protection), and most of all, not wanting to open the forum up to abuse by unwanted postings of the unsavoury variety. That's why we have banned pictures, at least for now. But a simple solution for those who do not go out too much is to edit your personal details - log in and go to 'my controls' and edit away. Provided it's not lewd, libellous or licentious, you can say more or less what you like about yourself. Then we will all know. There is also an option to add a logo (an 'avatar'). Best regards, Resident
