I appreciate it is my reponsibility but if something goes wrong will any insurance cover me without this certificate? Thanks for your help! Melboy Posted May 22, 2007 Report Share Posted May 22, 2007 Yes, your Gas Certificate is mandatory by law for your rented property. Your insurance would be invalid if, upon any gas related problem, you tried to claim and the gas certificate had not been issued.
