Melboy
Happy New Year to ALL our forum contributers. 2018 looks to be a year of change for landlord's with new landlord law coming into force. Only today, 28th December, the BBC news leads with a story about tightening up the law on rogue landlords which of course will drag in the many good law abiding landlords. It is always the few that spoil it for the majority...... as always. Only yesterday I learnt of a not so new landlord renting out property who didn't have much appreciation of what they are required to do by law for tenant protection and as for mentioning an EPC for their property just a blank look of " What's that"! Maybe the government do have a point with tightening up landlord law.
kanrent
They may introduce a how to let booklet same as the tenant gets a how to rent booklet And labour has pledged to make it more difficult to remove tenants, could be living in your house a long time rent free, i guess it saves the government housing the homeless
