Dissertation research - trends, influences, threats and professional standards

Hello,

I am a student currently undertaking my Dissertation for an MSc in Building Surveying.

I'm carrying out surveys to find data relating to current regulations, professionalism and drivers of the Private Rented Sector.

The purpose of this exercise is to collect further research on top of my lit review to formulate an idea of the National PRS trends.

This will then be compared to my local area through face to face interviews with local landlords, using a similar questionnaire.

The survey has approximately 20 questions, and will take between 5 - 10 minutes to complete.

These survey questions have not been compiled by anyone with experience of letting. The result is that some questions are virtually impossible to answer.

Having looked through the questions I am not prepared to answer majority of them and some I cannot answer. Before you put survey on-line did you discuss it with any landlords, experienced or not?  Good luck with your course.
