I have been unable to contact my tenant for several weeks despite telephoning, texting, leaving notes under his door. I need to repossess the flat he is renting and served him two months notice in the middle of February - I called with a witness and left the notice under his door. Three weeks into the notice I heard via a friend that he was in court a couple of weeks ago and am wondering if he has been imprisoned. What should I do next? Melboy Posted February 27, 2007 Report Share Posted February 27, 2007 You could go down the abandoned property route that after 28 days of no contact by phone mail etc etc. you have to enter the property without permission in order to ensure that everyhting is safe. Make sure you have a witness with you and ensure the Tenant has not just gone away on Holiday. Put another letter under the door stating that you are proceeding with entry in the next 72hrs as the property appears to have been abandoned.
