  2. I dont know how long for ,but my son who now runs what was  my  International Transport business sent 12 trucks and trailers to France empty to collect supermarket wine , he said the rate had never been so good !

We had planned to go to Venice in May for my 'special' birthday - not booked yet though and things are not looking good but it would be quiet☺️

Agree with Melboy - keep calm and carry on.

I was in Asda this afternoon and the loo roll aisle was emptied out!  I made an employee climb up to the very top racks to get me the last 2 x 12 packs.....well I have an Airbnb to cater for too.  That's another thing - will they cancel and want refunds?  What if someone gets it whilst in the Airbnb house?

The new James Bond film release has just been delayed until November!

Too late Richlist if you've issued S21 - you could always re-let.

Are your Airbnb and Booking.com bookings down ? I have noticed that ours have dropped considerably in the last 2 weeks, but a house that sleeps 8 in Weymouth is still getting bookings with Blue Chip

  4. All the Ebay sellers have upped their hand gel prices, my son and 2 partners run a company called Medisave , they sold 20000 face masks, 1000 hand gels and 600 packs of wipes last week and cant get any more .

  5. My wife's cousin is a staunch Labour man and before he retired was a shop steward at Britannia Insurance, when I spoke to him yesterday he told me he voted Conservative and intends to vote Conservative  in future  as he feels Brother Corbin has let him down and ruined the Labour party.

We are the first complete online letting agency , our unique system eliminates the need for a middle man and redesigns the whole renting process. We provide landlords and tenants a platform were they can be in direct contact with one another.

There is no commission , no hidden fees and its just a small one off payment for tenants; only if they rent somewhere through our company.

We offer three different packages as seen on our website , but we have an "Everything You Need Package" which is currently free for the first two months. This allows a landlord to have:

    • Property Listing On Rightmove, Zoopla, Primelocation, Social Media & Many Other Portals
    •  Full Tenancy Legal Library
    •  Deposit Registration TDS Protected
    •  First Months Rent Collection
    •  Legal expenses up to £50,000
    •  100% of rental income if the tenant fails to pay
    •  Property damage cover

If there's any confusion on how to use the platform we are at the end of the phone or just an email away if any customers need us.

  7. Off topic also, I have turned one of our properties into a holiday let, with good response in its first week of being on Blue Chip,s web site, our son has turned 6 of his properties in a South Coast seaside town into lets via. Bookings.com, airB&B and Trip Advisor, I am beginning to think this is the way to go and they are exempt from council tax ( only one) as they are a small business.

  8. I have a 2 ground floor bed flat empty at the moment, as we have  2 other holiday let properties locally and have cleaners and a weekly laundry service I have decided to furnish the flat and make it a holiday let, I have been thinking about it for a while what with tenant find fees being passed on to us but today's announcement and the proposals from Brother Corbin (if he gets in ) are frightening. To this end, I have today been in touch with Blue Chip to give me an appraisal to see if it will work, we use them for the other  2 holiday let properties, our son had 5 Airbnb /Booking. com flats that seem to get booked all year round.

  9. Yes I may well have to and swallow my charge of £30 to do all the time consuming paperwork and the check out inventory .luckily I don't  get many tenants leave (the previous one died at 57 ) ,but when the rules change I will increase by 20%

  10. I always have a Profesional inventory clerk do the inventory for me , I have just had a check-in inventory done with well over a hundred photos and 43 pages of text, it cost me £ 65.00 ,it is written in my tenancy agreement that the check out inventory is carried out at the cost to the tenant.  I manage our properties my self but not dream of letting without an inventory.
