I have a ground floor room on-suite with external door on the side of my house which last year I let out to the same guy after having it as a spare room but not really using it, just recently I have built on top of that extention to make another room to let , and have put another external door and internal stairway in so they have access to upstairs and down without coming in our house, I was just wondering if any one could tell me what rules and regs I need in the way of fire doors, smoke alarms etc or any other information worth knowing if I were to let them both, and if possible also let me know when the plans are dealt with by the planning and building inspectors do they treat them any differently if they know its going to be let, baring in mind its all joind to my house , thanks for any help sizzler.
