diehard
hi folks my tenant has refused at the last minute to vacate the property - i have a section 21 notice in place which i will serve at cout in the next week - i have informed the housing benefit office that the tenant is staying without my permission - the lady i spoke to has put a stop on the tenants benefit as i said i did not want to be paid rent as this surely implies permission has been given to stay- have i done the correct thing - if i have can i sue later for loss of rental earnings due to the tenant staying past her lease end date. assistance greatly appreciated. jeanniegardiner
hi, am sure that there is implications that if you received any overlapping benefits on behalf of you tenant the Local Authority can claim this back from you..... Good Luck
