O'Neil
Hi - help please. I entered in a six month tenancy with a private landlord on 8th March but yesterday was offered a six month tenancy with a Housing Association which could lead to council accommodation in due course. I want to move to the Housing Association property as it is more secure and has better housing prospects - how much notice do I have to give on the six month tenancy or do I have to pay for the whole six months? O'Neil
Thanks, but I would like to end the tenancy now ie not stay the six months - can I do that by giving two months notice or do I have to stay the whole six months?
royals7
Depends on the landlord. You are legally bound as you have signed a 6 month tenancy. I would explain your circumstances to your landlord and if they could find another tenant.
Mr. Green
Quote amit2006 "hi you will need to give 1 months notice on the 5th month of your contract." No he doesnt, there is no need to give notice to leave at the end of a fixed term. Quote amit2006 "I can help you evict tenents the cost will be 97 pounds you will receive step by step info on how to get rid of unwanted tenents." That will be £97.00 please.
