Geezah
A tenancy deposit protection scheme is being implemented here in Scotland this summer. The fundamental difference to the English one is that it is being applied retrospectively. I think this is going to be the death of some letting agents up here if they have used deposits as working capital as they are going to have to find large sums to pass onto the scheme. If agents go under because of this, landlords are going to lose their money. Are any of you Scottish landlords asking for your deposits from your agents in case they go to the wall? Any spent up letting agencies want to sell up to me?
