MissTempus Posted January 27, 2012 Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 Hi All I moved in to current house to rent a room June1st 2011 No contract deposit paid rent £450 pcm + bills I am paid weekly this works out @£103.84 per week at this present time for 8 months and 1 week it would appear I am in a plus with regards t the rent and from what I can gather deposit can only be with held if one or more of the following applies 1/ Rent arrears 2/ Missing or taken items without permission 3/ Damage requiring major work to repair none of which apply I was given notice on the 10th Jan I move out on the 111th February My rent is above the tax free amount but is not declared as earnings Any advice welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mortitia Posted January 31, 2012 Report Share Posted January 31, 2012 If landlady does live in house with you that makes you a lodger and yes should can ask you to move out for no apparant reason with 'reasonable notice'.
