LeeS
I have put my house on with a local housing body and a few people have called showing interest. As these people are unemployed I can not get a credit rating for a Rent Guarantee Insuarnce policy. Does anybody know if I can have the council pay the rent direct to me or do I have to rely on the tenant to pass it on? Is there an insurance policy for rent specifically for unemployed tenants? Thanks
SPEEDTWIN
If anybody is interested you can inform the council you will only be prepared to rent the property to them if the benefit is paid direct to you. Also on take on people who have a home owning guarantor.
Grampa
I have heard of rent guarantee insurance that is suitable for tenants on housing benefit but cant remember which company. I came across it at one of the landlord shows in London.
