BobP
Hi all It all seems to be tax based this week. I use a letting agent to find tenants, can I claim thier fee to find the first tenant into a new property as an expense? Thanks again for all your help. Mortitia
You can claim any reasonable fees from the agent back from tax. Mortitia
BobP
Hi Mortitia Many thanks for the reply. I do claim the agent fees for subsequent tenants, but remember reading somewhere that the introduction fee for finding the first tenant could not be claimed. I did think it was odd, but nothing would surprise me anymore. Bob
Selkirk
Just to add. My understanding is you can only claim for one tenant change per property per year. cheers Selkirk
