landlord insurance
Is it true that the recession is increasing the rise of burglaries and theft? If so what precautions should be taken for this? We have certainly noticed a rise in the number of insurance claims being made but we haven't noticed too much difference in theft claims. The main problem of the recession seems to be the number of rent guarantee claims. With tenants being made redundant and then being unable to pay the rent has led to a massive increase in these default of rent claims. In terms of burglaries, the only precautions you can take are the obvious ones. Decent locks on windows and doors, maybe a 'fake' alarm box or cctv camera outside as a deterrent (a real one is obviously better), etc.
