sjc Posted June 10, 2008 Report Share Posted June 10, 2008 To cut a long story short, my T fell months behind on rent and I may have to serve section 8 and go to court. However at the beginning of the tenancy I had failed to protect his deposit. Once realizing that I could be sued 3 x the deposit I returned it to him in full. Does anyone know if he can still sue me for not protecting the deposit for the period that I had it? If so, how long do I have to wait before such a claim would be thrown out of court?
