Matthew Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Afternoon all, quick query I am selling my leasehold flat and the management company are asking me to pay £188.90, for the following information the buyers solicitors need: There are a list of standard enquiries which need replying to and also a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, the last three years accounts together with details of service charge payments. This seems extortionate, for information which should surely be my right to have. Anyone heard of this before? Should this be payable by me or the buyer, since, afterall it is for the buyer, & not me? I am reluctant as it is more costs I am having to pay, before the sale has even gone to exchange . Regards Mat.
GPEL Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Seems reasonable to me, you should see the document fees some companies charge to provide leaseholders copies of thier documentation.
