Possible HMO - Glasgow - advice needed

We have bought a house in Glasgow for our student daughter and 2 of her friends to share. The house is in my husband and mine's name. We were advised by Glasgow City Council that the only way we can avoid having to apply for an HMO licence is to have our daughter added on to the title deeds so that she would then be classed as a resident landlord.

Unfortunately we took our buy-to-let mortgage out with Lloyds TSB and it turns out they are the only building society who do not add others on to the mortgage for a fee. They are telling us we have to remortgage with them and we only took the mortgage out in August!

Can anyone offer any advice as to what we can do with regards to scottish HMO regulations or adding our daughter on to the mortgage.
