sahara
Hi, The good news is that my tenant has left, he sneaked off a couple of weeks ago leaving the keys with a neighbour. He later sent a letter informing me of this, he has left the property clean and tidy, but still owes about 1350 pounds of rent payments. Now I have to decide whether to persue the money through Moneyclaim.gov or a debt collector. My tenant was a housing benefit tenant and I thought that this would be a safe way to rent my property while overseas, but within one month of securing the tenancy he got a job and the housing benefit only paid a fraction of his rent, he never even paid one payment of his top-up payments. Thanks for the advice on this forum, and good luck to all those suffering bad tenants! Sahara x
