Can anyone help property i rent out has stairs leading of the lounge , smoke alarm is fitted at the start of the stairs , should I fit one upstairs also ,? If I did would I remove the one fro. Bottom of stairs to a different area

I deposited my tenants deposit with dps 7 years ago but forgot to give my tenants the prescribed information what should I do ? And what can I do to correct this
