hein25
Hi does anyone got info on China Bank morgages? I am looking to remorgaging a buy to let, the lowest fix for 3 years I have been quoted is 4.99% woolwich ,getting a good rate is hard to come by .this bank is quoting 3.5% over base rate ,is it safe? This rate is lifetime of the morgage tracker.I have not heard of this bank offering morgages to uk customers. Any input appreciated.
Mortitia
Hi, This bank is not regulated by the banking ombudsman in the UK so you could argue that you are taking a risk over a small percentage. Although UK banks don't have the best of reputations at the moment I think I would stick to home on this one. Woolwich/Barclays are sound and long experience of lending on the market. I'd stick with them if they have made you an offer. Good luck, Mortitia
