adam_smith
we agreed to go with one agent 'the best in town', also the most expensive. However, their promises didn't materialise. We've now found our own tenants, but still need an agent to look after things while we're out the country. So we're considering swapping letting agents - just telling the first agent things have changed and we can longer put our house up for rent with them. We haven't paid the first agent any money yet, but they did carry out an electrical check, we also agreed to an insurance policy with them, but that hasn't come into action yet, becuase our house isn't going to let for another month. Can any one see any problems, do letting agents have rights to charge 'get out fees' or anything like that? Many thanks

adam_smith
In the end we just said 'our plans had changed, we have to take it off the market', and they said ok, you're off our books. So no problems, no chash paid. Glad we're out!
