Sorry I forgot to mention I'm a non resident landlord
-
I've contacted many insurance companies and brokers nearly all are refusing me landlord insurance on my rental property can anyone shed some light on this for me.
It's fully managed but a UK letting agency
-
There's probability a bit of skimming by the agent when repairs have to be done

My recommendation is don't bother with it.
Surely all you need in buildings insurance & rent guarantee insurance ?
Yes that's what I'm looking for.
Many landlords are non UK residents seems many insurers are refusing to insure them now
-
Anybody here got any recommendations on insurers

I didn't see any anti PRS announcements in the budget.....no tax rises, nothing adverse.......that's certainly not what I was expecting.
Capital Gains Allowance fixed at £12300 until 2026
Happy days
Feels like a stay of execution

Some of the devolved Welsh Gov' decisions leave an awful lot to be desired. They are absolutely going to kill the private rented sector in Wales. Last week they were trying to stop anyone outside Wales buying property in the area.
This is actually great news for COR......ultimately he is going to have more potential tenants and less competition. 😁 Seems like an opportunity for a rent increase.......thanks to Mark Drakeford
I'm all for a rent increase the problem is if they ain't got the money waste of time trying to increase the rent

The CGT isn't going to the "lesser able" it's going into the pockets of a greedy state controlled right wing goverment

Correct......there are very few opportunities to escape CGT. You certainly can't defer it, offset it, not pay it or reinvest to escape it.
If you do find a loophole I'd probably pay you a very handsome fee for passing it onto me.
The only escape from CGT liability that I have ever been able to find is :-.........There are a few countries around the world that if you move there and become a resident for tax purposes then they do not levy a CGT charge on any worldwide income. Unfortunately the list of countries would not normally attract anyone to move there permanantly.
then they do not levy a CGT charge on any worldwide income.
You mean the uk won't levy the CGT charge?
If so any idea what countries
