kraig1 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Share Posted May 15, 2006 hi, I know as a landlord if i have any electrical work done to ther property it has to be done by a corgi engineer and i have to have the paperwork to prove it, with my permission my tennants have had sky tv fitted do the same rules apply ,do they have to provide the necessary paperwork to show that it has been fitted by a compitent engineer or as it is just tv does it not count? CORGI Engineers are required to carry out work relating to gas installations on the property such as boilers, gas fires etc. You need a certificate each year to prove compliance with the regs. Electrical work should only be carried out by a qualified electrician and again a certificate is required. As far as I know there is no special requirement for the installation of TV/Sattelite equipment although there maybe some local restrictions on where you can install the dish.
