fard_uk Posted April 11, 2006 Report Share Posted April 11, 2006 Hi guys, i'm new to letting and wonder if anyone would be good enough to tell me whether it's mad of me to let my property using a standard tenancy contract downloade off this site? I am tired of solicitors ripping me off and agents left right and centre acting incompetently to take what little income i have.....really frustrated and question whether just a standard tenancy will suffice? thanks loads for your help. F-Prop Posted April 12, 2006 Report Share Posted April 12, 2006 Hello! If you use a standard assured shorthold tenancy, it should be pretty water-tight legally. When I started up I used the forms from LawPack www.lawpack.co.uk and I was OK, but I think that was just because I had some nice tenants. Looking back I didn't really have a clue what I was letting myself in for. If you are comfortable dealing with all the potential problems on your own then go for it! Trevor.
