embery Posted May 24, 2008 Report Share Posted May 24, 2008 My brother and I recently inherited a house in two flats with a tenant on the ground floor. Our mother lived in the first floor flat which is now vacant. When I pointed out to the tenant that his flat is filthy he stated categorically that he is allowed to keep it like that!! Although I find this ridiculous. Is this correct???? Being a landlord is something I have no experience with and there are many issues I need answers to at some time, but for a start any help with the above would be greatly appreciated.
