Here's my situation: - I signed a 12-month AST with my old landlord with 6 month break clause in it. - The place was sold and I was told to start paying the new landlord (no new AST signed) - I have now been issued with an eviction notice at the 6 month break point by my new landlord - They are also insisting I sign an AMENDED AST (not a brand new AST) which has the owner name updated in it. My questions: 1) I guess they have a legal right to evict me, is this correct? 2) Do I need to sign this amended AST? I would prefer to not sign anything if I am leaving in 2 months especially since they are being so insistant on me signing it - it makes me suspicious.
